Tomorrow, not tonight, sit down with paper.
Before you start, put a photograph on the desk, where your eyes land when you look up from the screen. A photograph of whoever this is actually for.
Then write yourself a letter, and date it twelve months from tomorrow. Write it as that person, back to you. Start it the way I gave it to the room. I am standing here twelve months from now, and I want to tell you what I did for the entire year.
What did they do. What did they stop doing. What did they stop explaining, and to who.
Fifteen minutes. Handwrite it. Do not generate it.
You will know it worked when the letter has one sentence in it you would be embarrassed to show anybody.
