Write down every distinct task you did with an assistant in the last week. Beside each one, mark whether it needed real reasoning or whether it was mechanical work you could describe as a set of steps.
You will know it worked when at least half your list is marked mechanical, and you can name the one item on it you would never hand to a cheaper system.
