A student asked me in class whether he could build one main agent, with a sub-agent under it for every skill. Nobody has two years of experience with that, I told him. Everybody has eight months, and so do I.
Eight months of agents in almost everything I do. Software, marketing, financial analysis, my own taxes. One day it wakes up like a super genius. The next day, with the same tools in its hands, it does something absolutely stupid. It can give you ten days of really good results, and on day eleven it can mess up your entire project. That freaks me out.
Agents are super capable and super stupid. The capability comes with them. The reliability does not, and building it is the job.
