Chapter 25 of 26

What it cost

Eight months of using agents before I had a word for what I was doing. A punch in the face nearly every session, the feeling of being stupid in front of my own tool, and after every mistake, going back to read what it did. More than four thousand commits of that. A Range Rover I regretted.

And the parts that do not go away. Anchoring still frustrates me. I give the agent the right context, it gets obsessed with one piece of it, and I just have to deal with it. Ten good days still tell me nothing about day eleven, and that still frightens me. Every new company, every new model and every new team brings a new twenty percent, and nobody, including me, can sell you a way around those scars.
